Agents extends Zapier from triggered automations into goal-driven flows. The huge integration surface is the moat — if your stack already runs through Zapier, agents are the lowest-effort path to AI workflows.

Notes from using it

Zapier Agents lives or dies on whether your stack is already on Zapier. If yes, the integration breadth — 7,000+ apps — is unmatched and the learning curve is essentially zero. If no, the per-task pricing rapidly becomes uncompetitive vs. Lindy or n8n at any meaningful volume.

The agent reasoning lags purpose-built platforms. Multi-step flows that require real planning ("book the meeting that fits everyone's calendar AND prep notes") work better in Lindy than in Zapier Agents today. Zapier's strength is connectivity; agent quality is improving but trails.

Where it shines: small teams with broad tool sprawl (sales on HubSpot, marketing on Mailchimp, support on Help Scout, ops on Airtable) who need agents that touch all of those without integration work. Where it doesn't: complex multi-agent reasoning, high-volume workflows where per-task pricing breaks, or any case where Lindy or n8n's sharper agent reasoning matters.
